Practical and highly successful conservation projects developed and implemented in partnership with local farmers and communities continue to deliver outstanding results for our shared environment. We invite government and corporate organisations to become involved as partners in achieving these outcomes.
These measurable outcomes include:
- Native pasture on over 7000 ha
- Improved pasture on over 8000 ha
- Conserved and managed remnant native vegetation 800 ha
- Land Management Tenders system may preserve 25% more native vegetation than the same investment made under a grant scheme
- In 2006, Gunnedah had the only population of koalas that increased statewide
- Winning a 2003 Banksia Award
NEW! Download - A Landholder’s Guide to Threatened Birds in the Liverpool Plains (pdf, 995kb). Designed to help local landholders appreciate and protect these birds from the potential impacts of agricultural activities.
